Massage therapy at SSC of Chicago is performed by Eli, our licensed massage therapist who graduated from the Soma Institute on the President's Honor List. Unlike spa massage, our clinical massage therapy is targeted, purposeful, and integrated with your overall treatment plan. Eli specializes in deep tissue massage for chronic tension and injury recovery, sports massage for athletes and active individuals, and prenatal massage for expectant mothers. Every session is customized to your specific needs and coordinated with your chiropractic care for maximum benefit.
Eli will discuss your goals, areas of concern, and any health conditions before your session. Communication is key to a great massage.
Sessions are performed on a professional massage table in a private, comfortable treatment room.
Eli uses a combination of techniques — Swedish strokes for relaxation, deep tissue work for chronic tension, and targeted trigger point therapy as needed.
Pressure is always adjusted to your preference and tolerance. You're in control — speak up if anything is too much or not enough.
After your session, Eli may recommend stretches or self-care techniques to extend the benefits. Hydration is important post-massage.
